Full Description:

The Lookout Villa is a charming 3-bedroom villa sitting on 1 acre of tropical garden on the edge of the rainforest. The property has absolutely stunning views over Englishman’s Bay and out to the Caribbean Sea. The three-bedroom property is spacious and cool. The high cathedral roof and exposed beams add to the charm of this special property. Entering the villa from the parking area (you can also enter via the veranda across the front of the villa), you walk along the corridor past the half-bath and a utility room (fitted with a washing machine, dryer and utility steel sink) to the spacious kitchen with a fridge-freezer, microwave oven, electric stove and various small appliances. The kitchen cabinets have wooden doors and the counters are tiled with lovely slate tiles. A breakfast counter with bar stools separates the kitchen from the main living area. The lounge consists of a dining table and chairs, a 3-seater sofa and matching armchair and rocking armchair with adjustable footstool. These are grouped around an entertainment area with a wonderful collection of books, a television, VCR, DVD-player and radio/cassette/CD unit. Three sets of folding shutter doors lead from the living area onto the large wooden deck with a wooden dining table and two Adirondack armchairs. The master bedroom with en suite bathroom lies at the end of the living room and looks out over Englishman’s Bay. The bedroom is has a Queen-size bed, two bedside tables plus a tall chest of drawers and 3 feet of full-length hanging space. The showers in all three bedrooms are unusual in that the shower stalls are lined with anodised metal sheet rather than tiled. This is practical and adds to the rustic cabin feel. The bedroom is fitted with two ceiling fans but with all the shutters open, the nights can be surprisingly cool. Even at the very hottest times of the day, the villa remains cool and comfortable. The second and third bedrooms each have en suite bathrooms. Throughout the house there are Demerara shutters and mosquito netting panel windows. This ensures that the rooms remain insect free and cool and even the overhead ceiling fans are unnecessary much of the time. Being located at the rear of the property, these bedrooms do not benefit from sea views, but look out over the equally impressive rainforest. Both bedrooms are furnished with a pair of standard single beds. The property has mains electricity, supplemented by a generator housed in a small building away from the main house. Behind and below the property are ten huge water tanks which are filled by rainwater throughout the year.
